The Freen-BSH and Freen-BSL products are developed and produced in Estonia. The high-voltage BSH model and the low-voltage BSL system are both versatile, scalable solutions tailored to meet the energy needs of homeowners, farmers, and a range of commercial and industrial users. These systems have the capability to power off-grid setups, seamlessly integrate with solar energy sources, and effectively reduce peak load demands, making them ideal for various applications. Currently, Freen offers lithium-ion storage systems priced at €230 ($268)/KWh, while plans are in place to launch sodium-ion batteries, which will be available starting at €330/KWh. This pricing strategy reflects Free’s commitment to providing affordable and efficient energy storage options.

Key Features of the 10 kWh Sodium-Ion Battery Pack are:

  • Depth of Discharge: 90%
  • Rated Voltage: 48V
  • Operating Voltage Range: 40V to 60V
  • Maximum Charge/Discharge Rate: 210A
  • Charging Cycles: Over 4,000 cycles
  • Operating Temperature Range: -20℃ to 60℃
  • Dimensions: 415 x 700 x 263 mm
  • Weight: 78 kg

The manufacturer specifies that the BSH product features a capacity of 10.08 kWh for each module. This system operates at a nominal voltage of 575 V, ensuring optimal performance within a voltage range of 385 V to 760 V. According to Freen, the maximum discharge current of the unit is rated at 8.75 A, which is crucial for understanding its power output capabilities. Additionally, the design allows for scalability, as up to 10 modules can be connected in parallel. This means that when fully configured, the total capacity can be increased to an impressive 100.8 kWh, making it suitable for various applications requiring substantial energy storage.
